Log Charts Editor
The Log Charts Editor is used to configure how log charts are shown in 3D and how they are printed. When used to configure print additional options are available.
The left section of the dialog contains settings for the currently selected chart. The right section of the dialog contains one or multiple charts. Click a chart to select and edit it. The currently selected chart is marked with a green surrounding line. Right click the “Charts” tab to add, remove, and move charts.
If configuring printing settings the “Print Report…” button as well as tabs for header, footer, and logo are available.
Selected Chart Settings
This box contains settings for the currently selected chart in the “Charts” tab sheet in the right portion of the dialog.
Series:
The list shows the available fields in the dataset that may be added to the chart. Click “Add” or “Remove” in the “+/-” column to add and remove series from the chart. The list shows the data series in the logs dataset. To add or remove series from the list modify the logs dataset using the Dataset Manager.
Vertical Line
Active: Shows a thick vertical line in the chart.
Value: The vertical line is show at this value on the bottom horizontal axis.
Fill
Active: Fills the space between the left vertical axis and the line series using a color scale. Affects only the first series added to the chart.
Color scale: Select and edit the fill colors cake using the Color Scale Editor.
Preview Log
The drop down list contains all the logs. Any of these logs may be previewed in the charts in the right portion of the form.
ID: ID of the currently selected log.
Charts
The Charts tab contain the charts that are shown in 3D or printed. Charts may be added or removed. Each chart is configured independently. Right click the charts tab or a chart to show the context menu that contains these items:
Advanced Chart Setup…: Opens the advanced Chart Editor dialog.
Move Selected Chart Left: Moves the selected chart one position to the left
Move Selected Chart Right: Moves the selected chart one position to the right
Clear Selected Chart…: Clears the selected chart.
Add Chart: Add a new blank chart.
Remove Selected Chart…: Removes the selected chart
Print Selected Chart…: Prints the selected chart
Print Report…: Print all charts to a report using header, footer, and logo settings.
Header (print only)
Settings for the header section of the printed report above the charts. These header settings must be set for each log.
Page Caption:
Text: Caption shown in the top left corner of the printed report in a large font. Right to show the context menu:
Use This Header In All Logs: Use the current header caption in all logs.
Header Table Captions And Texts:
The printed report contains a table consisting of 9 cells. Each cell contains a caption and a text string. Both captions and texts can be entered in the table. Right click the grid to show the context menu that contains these items:
Save Captions In File…: Save the current captions (left column) in a file.
Load Captions From File…: Load captions (left column) from a file to the current log.
Use These Captions In All Logs…: Use the current header captions in all logs
Save Texts In File…: Save the current texts (right column) in a file.
Load Texts From File…: Load texts (left column) from a file to the current log.
Footer (print only)
The footer is shown below the printed charts and are the same for all logs. Right click the grid to show the context menu that contains these items:
Save Footer Lines In File…: Save the current footer lines in a file.
Load Footer Lines From File…: Load footer lines from a file.
Logo (print only)
A graphical logo may be shown in the top right portion of the printed report (Windows Meta File *.wmf). The selected file is show in the top of the tab sheet but it is not a preview. Press the “Print Report…” button to see the result.
Load Logo: Loads a Windows Meta File
Position From Left [cm]: Position of the meta file from the left on the printed report in centimeters.
Position From Top: Position of the meta file from the top on printed report in centimeters.
Width [cm]: Meta file width in centimeters.
Height [cm]: Meta file height in centimeters.
Stretch: If checked the meta file is stretched to file the defined rectangle completely. If not checked the meta file will be re sized proportionally to fit within the rectangle.
