Grid Adjustment

Grid adjustment is carried out on two grids at a time in a fixed order. From top to bottom and then from bottom to top.

In this example the model consists of a terrain grid, three layer grids, and a bottom grid. The terrain and bottom are fixed but the three layer grids are adjustable.

Each row in the grid represents a grid file. Each cell in the grid contains settings for adjustment of one grid pair. The grid in the left column is always the adjusted grid whereas the grid in the upper row is always the reference grid. The cells in the lower left represents down-adjustment form top to bottom. The cells in the upper right represents up-adjustment from bottom to top.

The cells are processes one by one. The lower left cells are processed from top to bottom, left to right. The the upper right cells are processed from bottom to top, right to left.

In the example the adjustments are carried out in this order:

Layer 1 down relative to Terrain.
Layer 2 down relative to Terrain.
Layer 3 down relative to Terrain.
Layer 2 down relative to Layer 1.
Layer 3 down relative to Layer 1.
Layer 3 down relative to Layer 2.
Layer 3 up relative to Bottom
Layer 2 up relative to Bottom
Layer 1 up relative to Bottom
Layer 2 up relative to Layer 3
Layer 1 up relative to Layer 3
Layer 1 up relative to Layer 2

Row (adjusted grid)

This box controls the vertical order of grids. Each row represents a grid. The content in the box represents the row currently showing the selected cell.

Grid: Contains the available grids.
Add Row: Adds new last row
Insert Row: Insert new row above the selected row
Delete Row: Deletes the selected row
Default Row: Assigns default settings to each cell in the row and make is adjustable
Lock Row: Makes the grid not adjustable

Cell (adjustment of one grid pair)

This box controls the adjustment of one grid pair.

Layer Thickness
Min: Minimum layer thickness
Max: Maximum layer thickness

Maximum Allowed Adjustment
Up: Maximum allowed up-adjustment
Down: Maximum allowed down-adjustment
