Adjust Grid Difference

(Select two 2D or 3D grid files)

Use this operation to modify one grid based on conditions for minimum and maximum difference in elevation or node value relative to another grid. Although this can be done for both 2D and 3D grids it is most commonly used to modify 2D grids so that lower grids does not cross higher grids, or to ensure minimum or maximum vertical spacing.

In the operation both the higher grid and the lower grid can be modified, but only one of them. This means that the higher grid can push the lower grid down if distance is less than min distance, or the higher grid push the lower grid up if the distance is larger than the max distance. Similarly the upper grid can be modified based on the same conditions.

To only check the conditions for multiple grid files without doing changes use the Grid Order Consistency Check operation.

Min Difference: Minimum distance in elevation or node value
Max Difference: Maximum distance in elevation or node value
Modify Grid 1 (higher): Higher grid will be modified
Modify Grid 2 (lower): Lower grid will be modified
