A solid layer object renders the space (section) between two surface objects along grid borders and along blanked regions and 3D profiles (blanking objects). The solid layer object is automatically updated when blanking objects are activated and deactivated. The solid layer only needs to know what surfaces to use for top and bottom. One solid layer object should be created for each top/bottom surface pair in the scene. Solid layers are rendered on-the-fly.
Name: Object name as seen in the Object Manager
Visible: Show/Hide the object
Top Surface: Consider this surface the top solid layer boundary.
Bottom Surface: Consider this surface the bottom solid layer boundary.
Infinite Bottom: If bottom layer is considered “none” this value is used as bottom.
Remark: General purpose remark
Info: Misc object info
Grid Boundaries: Render along grid outer boundaries: East, West, North, South
No Data Area Boundaries: Render along no data areas in Top and/or Bottom solid layers to the other grid. This is important to consider if no data areas in top and bottom solid layers are not identical (cover the same area). If the no data areas are identical in both top and bottom grids only one of these should be checked.
From Top/Bottom Surfaces: This will add a top and/or a bottom to the solid layer from a copy of the grid data. In general this is not recommended.
Solid Layer Color Mode: The color mode can be a single color, see Color properties or a color or from an attribute grid, see Attribute Grid Color.
