Vector Layer

A vector layer shows vector data as points, polylines or polygons.

Import Symbols
With this feature colors from a symbol file can be imported and assigned to features based on a field value in the vector layer. The symbol import is available for shape and tab files. All existing colors in the vector layer will be deleted when importing the symbols. The symbol file must contain values or codes that can be matched with a field in the vector layer.

Symbol File
Symbol File (*.csv): Select a symbol file.
Match Code: Symbol file “Code” will be matched with the selected vector layer field.
Match Value: Symbol file “Value” will be matched with the selected vector layer field.

Vector Layer
Match Field: Field in the vector layer used for matching symbols in the symbol file.
Select…: Select layer field in vector layer, see Select Vector Layer Field.

Settings
All Symbols: All symbols in the symbol list file will be imported
Symbols Used In Layer: Import symbols in use only
