| External data in GeoScene3D is handled as "datasets". In the above terrain surface example, the grid is a dataset and the bitmap is another dataset. Normally you don't think of a bitmap file as a dataset but if the bitmap is located in a database the term "dataset" is more meaningful. Multiple 3D objects and map layers may share the same dataset. Datasets are viewed and managed with the [[:geoscene3d:application:data_management:dataset_manager|]] and the [[:geoscene3d:application:data_management:dataset_editor|]]. | External data in GeoScene3D is handled as "datasets".
