Create a region from a Shapefile

This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a region from a Shapefile. Further will this tutorial show how to add the new region to the GeoScene3D Toolbox. This can be helpful if you want to use the ‘Blank Grid Using Geometry’ function in the Toolbox.

Region Object

A Region is a fence object with blanking capabilities. The fence is always a closed polygon though, and blanking is performed inside or outside the region. See the description of blanking. In a Region the fence may or may not be visible. When blanking is active in a Region layers may be shown at the same position as the fence. In that case the region fence should be turned off.
