Camera Bookmarks

Use camera bookmarks to save named camera positions in the scene. Saved camera positions are available from the context menu in the 3D Viewer. Camera Bookmarks are managed with the Camera Bookmarks Editor. In the Camera Bookmarks Editor bookmarks may be deleted and renamed, and you may jump to a bookmark.

Camera Go To

The
Move To Coordinate...
menu item in the 3D Viewer context menu opens the Camera Go To dialog. When pressing OK the camera will make an animated jump to the specified position and stop at the specified distance from the target.

Camera Object

All objects in the scene, even other cameras, are viewed through cameras. Although the GeoScene3D camera is virtual it has some properties that resemble those of real world cameras, e.g. focal length. Although the camera object is very complex with many settings the default settings are sufficient for most purposes. The Camera Editor dialog contains settings for the camera and navigation of that camera.

Orthogonal View Editor

In orthogonal view the camera has no perspective. The distance to objects from the camera is difficult to apprehend and navigation is also difficult. On the other hand, if the camera is either completely horizontal or vertical, vertical and horizontal distances can be compared directly on the screen. In perspective distances can not be compared directly. The Orthogonal View Editor helps setting up orthogonal views.
