The Attribute Wells is a way to visualize multiple properties from a borehole on a profile.
Open the “Add Data Wizard”, move forward from the welcome page and select “Local File or Database” –> Next.
Browse to your file with the various input types and select the file type, click next.
Select your given delitmiter and decimal separator, click next.
Select “Attribute Wells” and click next.
Press “Assign Fields” and a pop-up window appears
Fill in the mandatory fields (Well Key, X position in UTM, Y position in UTM, Top Depth). At the bottom, both one number value and one categori value have to be selected and transfered using the arrows. When the mandatory fields have been selected click “OK”, the “next” in the “Add Data Wizard” window.
“Object Group Node” will be the name of the branch of which every attribute is collected under. “Name of New Object” will be the name of the attribute followed by the values added in the number and categori field.
There are a couple of ways to edit the attribute wells. The setup of the data can be edited, the settings for the group can be edited or the visualization of the single attributes can be edited.
If the object properties for the single element is opened, the symbology or colorscale can be changed. If the branch node is right clicked, the setup of data can be changed through “Edit Attribute Wells…”. If the branch node is selected and “Object Properties” is selected, then some of the standard settings for visualizing data can be changed (buffer, profile settings etc.).
When the data have been edited and changed it can be viewed in 3D and the profile as seen on the picture below. From the example below, the numbers at top is the label, numbers at the side is one of the properties, the coloring of the drilling is lithology and the column to the right is the third property.
