====== Region Object ====== A Region is a fence object with blanking capabilities. The fence is always a closed polygon though, and blanking is performed inside or outside the region. See the description of blanking. In a Region the fence may or may not be visible. When blanking is active in a Region layers may be shown at the same position as the fence. In that case the region fence should be turned off. ==== General Tab ==== __Name:__ Object name as seen in the Object Manager\\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the object\\ __Outline:__ Shows a dashed outline of the fence\\ __Blanking Active:__ The Profile [[:geoscene3d:concepts:blanking|]] is active.\\ __Hide Crossing:__ If this option is selected in a specific region, the region crossing will not show on profiles.\\ __Solid Layer At Polyline:__ Solid layers will be rendered along the region outline (polyline). Fences in the Blanking Regions should not be visible when used for blanking. **Fence ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the fence\\ __Top Elevation:__ Elevation of the top edge\\ __Bottom Elevation:__ Elevation of the bottom edge **Remark ** \\ General purpose remark ==== Nodes Tab ==== The list shows the XY nodes used to define the path of the fence.\\ __Add:__ Add a new node at the end of the list\\ __Insert:__ Insert node above selected node\\ __Delete:__ Delete selected node\\ __Import:__ Import nodes from CSV File. CSV files for import must contain the fields X and Y\\ __Export:__ Save nodes in CSV files ==== Handles Tab ==== Handles are shown as spheres above each of the nodes in the fence. Fence nodes may be moved in the XY plane by dragging the sphere directly in 3D. If CTRL is pressed while dragging all nodes are dragged horizontally. If the ALT key is pressed all handles and the top edge is dragged vertically. If ALT+CTRL is pressed while dragging the complete fence in dragged vertically. The sphere color is the same as the fence color. __Enable Node Drag:__ Nodes may be dragged if enabled\\ __Handle Radius:__ Radius of the sphere in scene units. ==== Material Tab ==== __Bitmap Dataset:__ A bitmap from a Graphic Dataset may be shown on the plane. The bitmap will be stretched to the full extent of the plane. **Properties ** \\ __Opacity:__ Degree of opacity. 1=fully opaque, 0=fully transparent (enabled when Blending Mode = Transparency)\\ __Color:__ The plane background color.\\ __Advanced:__ Shows the advanced Material Editor **Resample Bitmap to Optimal Size For Better Performance ** \\ If this option is checked (recommended) the bitmap is automatically resampled to a resolution that is optimal for the OpenGL engine. The scaling of the bitmap is not changed. If you cannot allow resampling of the bitmap this option should not be checked. ==== Labels Tab ==== **Visibility ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the labels\\ __Visible Distance:__ Labels are shown within this distance from the camera. Keep low to improve performance.\\ __End Nodes Only:__ Labels are only shown for first and last node. **Scale ** \\ __Horizontal:__ Horizontal text scale factor\\ __Vertical:__ Vertical text scale factor\\ __Depth:__ Text depth scale factor. Effective only when extrusion is greater than zero. **Position And Angle ** \\ __Rotate Towards Camera:__ Labels are rotated towards the active camera. Rotating a lot of labels will have a negative impact on performance.\\ __Rotation Angle:__ When the labels are not rotated towards the camera the label will have this rotation angle.\\ __Vertical Offset:__ Distance from the labeled object to the bottom of the label.\\ __Vertical Angle:__ Label rotation from horizontal (counter clockwise). **Font ** \\ __Font:__ Text font\\ __Color:__ Text color\\ __Text Height:__ Height of text (font size)\\ __Extrusion:__ 3D text depth. **Text Alignment ** \\ __Horizontal:__ Horizontal text alignment\\ __Vertical:__ vertical text alignment
