====== Jupiter Wells Object ====== The Jupiter Wells Object visualizes wells from a :geoscene3d:project_content:datasets:jupiter_wells_dataset. In GeoScene3D Wells are visualized as a stack of cylinders that symbolizes layers. The layer color indicates lithology from a symbol list. Filters are visualized as a cylinder that is slightly bigger than the well layers (default). Use the info tool (or the context menu in 3D Viewers) to click individual layers, filters, or labels for information. //NOTE: The "Refresh Data" button must be pressed to refresh the data from source. The "Apply" button will only affect the visual appearance.// Danish Users: In the 3D Viewer context menu it is possible to download well reports directly from GEUS by selecting the menu items "Online Jupiter Well Report (HTML)…" and "Online Jupiter Well Report (PDF)…" ==== General Tab ==== __Name:__ Object name as seen in the Object Manager\\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the object **Fit To Surface ** \\ __Active:__ When checked and a surface is selected in the "Available Surfaces" drop down all the wells are fitted to that surface. The fitting is purely visual - the data are not changed.\\ __Only Wells With Null Elevation:__ When this check box is checked only wells that does not have a valid elevation in the database is fittet to terrain. Wells with a valid elevation is shown with the elevation from the database.\\ __Surface:__ Available surfaces in the project that can be used for fitting. __Remark:__ General purpose remark ==== Data Tab ==== __Jupiter Well Dataset:__ Selects the well dataset. **Export Report ** \\ Exports a report in csv format for the wells. The report contains key information for the well usage. The file format is described below. ID;X;Y;Z;Fitted;Remark 89. 63;570729;6217334;70.5;0;Unreliable 89. 65;567911;6218234;77.5;0;OK 89. 83B;573321;6215967;47.5;0; . . ID: Well ID\\ X: Well X-coordinate\\ Y: Well Y-cooordinate\\ Z: Well elevation\\ Fitted: The value is "0" if not fitted to terrain and "1" if the well is fitted.\\ Remark: Usage Include/Exclude remark entered by the user when used in geologic modelling. ==== Geometry Tab ==== __Slices:__ Number of slices in layer cylinders.\\ __Visible Distance:__ Beyond this distance wells are not visible.\\ __Radius:__ Radius of wells. **Well Indicators ** \\ __Layers Visible Distance:__ Beyond this distance layers are not visible. Only well indicators as simple cylinders that simply indicates the position and depth of the wells are visible.\\ __Color:__ Well indicator color. Press "Color" button to select color. **Infinite Bottom Layer Thickness ** \\ Bottom layers that do not have a bottom layer depth is shown with this thickness. ==== Material Tab ==== **Layers ** \\ __Opacity:__ Degree of opacity. 1=fully opaque, 0=fully transparent (enabled when Blending Mode = Transparency). Transparent layers are not recommended in general.\\ __Symbols:__ Opens the :geoscene3d:application:misc:symbol_list_editor.\\ __Show Legend:__ Show legend form\\ __Advanced:__ Shows the advanced :geoscene3d:application:misc:material_editor **Filters ** \\ __Opacity:__ Degree of opacity. 1=fully opaque, 0=fully transparent (enabled when Blending Mode = Transparency).\\ __Color:__ Filter color.\\ __Advanced:__ Shows the advanced :geoscene3d:application:misc:material_editor ==== Filters Tab ==== __Visible:__ When checked filters are shown.\\ __Slices:__ Number of slices in filter cylinder.\\ __Visible Distance:__ Beyond this distance filters are not visible.\\ __Radius Diff:__ Difference in radius between well and the inner radius of the filter. When the well radius is changed the radius of the filters are automatically changed.\\ __Thickness:__ Difference in radius between inner and outer radius.\\ __Start Angle:__ Filter start angle. From an axis to the right of the well as seen from the camera.\\ __Stop Angle:__ Filter stop angle. From an axis to the right of the well as seen from the camera. ==== Water Levels Tab ==== __Visible:__ When checked the latest measurement of water level is shown.\\ __Slices:__ Number of slices in water level disk.\\ __Visible Distance:__ Beyond this distance water levels are not visible.\\ __Radius Diff:__ Difference in radius between well and the inner radius of the water level disk. When the well radius is changed the radius of the water level disks are automatically changed.\\ __Thickness:__ Difference in radius between inner and outer radius.\\ __Start Angle:__ Water level disk start angle. From an axis to the right of the well as seen from the camera.\\ __Stop Angle:__ Water level disk stop angle. From an axis to the right of the well as seen from the camera. ==== ID Labels Tab ==== Label showing the well ID above the well **Visibility ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the labels\\ __Visible Distance:__ Labels are shown within this distance from the camera. Keep low to improve performance. **Scale ** \\ __Horizontal:__ Horizontal text scale factor\\ __Vertical:__ Vertical text scale factor\\ __Depth:__ Text depth scale factor. Effective only when extrusion is greater than zero. **Position And Angle ** \\ __Rotate Towards Camera:__ Labels are rotated towards the active camera. Rotating a lot of labels will have a negative impact on performance.\\ __Rotation Angle:__ When the labels are not rotated towards the camera the label will have this rotation angle.\\ __Vertical Offset:__ Distance from the labeled object to the bottom of the label.\\ __Vertical Angle:__ Label rotation from horizontal (counter clockwise). **Font ** \\ __Font:__ Text font\\ __Color:__ Text color\\ __Text Height:__ Height of text (font size)\\ __Extrusion:__ 3D text depth. **Text Alignment ** \\ __Horizontal:__ Horizontal text alignment\\ __Vertical:__ vertical text alignment ==== Layer Labels Tab ==== Label shown to the left and at the top of each layer in the well. If multiple contiguous layers have the same label text the label is only shown for the first of the identical layers going from top to bottom. **Visibility ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide the labels\\ __Visible Distance:__ Labels are shown within this distance from the camera. Keep low to improve performance. **Position And Angle ** \\ __Rotate Towards Camera:__ Labels are rotated towards the active camera. Rotating a lot of labels will have a negative impact on performance.\\ __Offset:__ Horizontal left offset from the well. **Font ** \\ __Font:__ Text font\\ __Color:__ Text color\\ __Text Height:__ Height of text (font size) ==== Profile Tab ==== The Profile tab contains settings used when wells are shown in profile windows. __Width:__ The width of the well in pixels. **Layers ** \\ __Outline:__ Outline layers on wells **Water level ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide water level symbols on wells **Filters ** \\ __Visible:__ Show filter symbol\\ __Solid Black Line:__ Show the filter as a solid black line next to the well\\ __Cross Hatch:__ Show the filter as a transparent cross hatch pattern **ID Label ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide ID labels above wells\\ __Height:__ Text height\\ __Offset:__ Vertical text offset in pixels. **Layer Label ** \\ __Visible:__ Show/Hide layer lithology label to the left of each layer in the well\\ __Height:__ Text height\\ __Offset:__ Horizontal text offset in pixels **Projection Distance Label ** \\ __Visible:__ Label below the well showing the distance the well has been moved when projected on to the profile center plane.
