====== Select XYZ Point Data ====== The Select XYZ Point Data dialog is used to select point data for interpolation from a point source object. The dialog shows the available values in the object. Point elevation is always available and is simply the elevation (Z) of the point. The values: color, scale X, scale Y, and scale Z are available if a value (field) in the dataset used in the source object is used to scale one of these properties. In other words a field from a dataset must be used for symbology in the object to be available for interpolation. ** 2D Grids ** \\ When interpolating 2D Grids you most often use point elevation as the interpolated value although it is possible to interpolated any of the available values. X and Y coordinates are retrieves automatically. ** 3D Grids ** \\ When interpolating 3D Grids you should not use point elevation as the interpolated value. The interpolated value should be a value that varies in all directions in 3D space. X, Y, and Z coordinates are retrieved automatically.
