====== Theme – Smart Interpretation Profiles ====== This tutorial describes how to use smart interpretation on profiles. {{vimeo>491570759?large&autoplay|Video Tutorial}} ---- ==== Background ==== The smart interpretation on profiles is used to calculate new interpretation points from existing interpretation points. The algorithm learns the trend from 1D models and existing points and uses it to estimate new interpretation points at the positions of the 1D models.\\ \\ The output is a number of XYZ points. The output points are added directly to the interpretation points you are editing.\\ \\ To use the smart interpretation on profiles, you first have to set up points and layers for modelling by using the ‘[[:geoscene3d:building_a_layered_model:editingxyzpoints-inprofilewindow|Setup Model Data Wizard]]’, and then start an edit session on XYZ points. The wizard can be started from the ‘XYZ Points Editor’: Actions… → Point Themes → Smart Interpretation Profiles… {{:tutorials:themecalc:2bc90f2dec13709e20a1faad693f4976.png}} ==== Settings: ==== **Models**: Select the models to input in the calculation. Only 1D model objects where all the models have the same number of layers will appear in the list.\\ \\ **Output Point for Every ‘X’ Model**: If set to 1, an interpretation point is added for every input model. If e.g. 10 a point is added only for every tenth model.\\ \\ **Skip Points above/below Grid**: Output points above/below the grids are skipped.\\ \\ **Active Region**: Limits the calculation area to the selected region. \\ **Active Profiles**: The calculation is done in the areas determined by the combined buffer zones of the XYZ points being edited. If more profiles are selected, all points within one or more buffer zones are used as input. If an active region is added, only points within one of the profiles and within the region is used as input. ==== Buttons: ==== **Refresh List**: Refresh the list of open profiles.\\ **Delete**: Delete points added by previously run smart interpretation calculations. Only points within the calculation area are deleted.\\ **Execute**: Do the calculation\\ **Advanced**: Here it is possible to control the area by regions and adjust the relative uncertainty on the input points and the radius for the searching area between the input points and the models.\\ {{:tutorials:themecalc:a4646492b715967cbb7ad66ac8c8356c.png}}
